Jastram H36 hydraulic helm pump

Reliable operation of a steering system depends upon the quality and performance of the helm pump. The Jastram "H" series manually operated helm is a precision made axial piston pump specifically designed to operate effectively at a very slow turning rate.  The H26/36/58 provide excellent primary or backup steering for small and relatively large steering systems.

Design Features
·  The helm pump includes an external back mounted "lock valve." This feature isolates each helm and locks the rudder into position to prevent unwanted feedback.
·  Thrust bearing support at both ends of the pump insures smooth operation even under a heavy load.
·  Industry standard 1" diameter straight stainless steel shaft for the steering wheel.  Pump housing is powder coated cast aluminum providing excellent corrosion protection.
